TIPS AND TRICKS

Service Preperation

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SERVICE?

We ask that all clients be minimally prepped and ready for their appointment that is booked; we take care of the rest!

Wax Services

  • Arrive with hair 1/4 of an inch long, for example the length of a grain of rice. This takes the average person 2 weeks.

  • If you’re unsure if your hair is long enough, err on the side of caution and let it grow a few more days. Exfoliation may also help.

  • Exfoliating BEFORE your appointment is a MUST!! You can use your everday cleanser with a washcloth for this.

  • Ensure you are not on any oral/topical antibiotics, Retin-A, or have had a chemical peel or sunburn within the last 14 days.

  • If you are traveling or planning a trip, book your wax 72 hours before then. Our pores are extremely sensitive and open. Going anytime sooner could cause your skin to be put at risk.

Brazilian Waxing Service

  • Don’t wear tight or non-breathing clothes: waxed skin needs air.

  • Can I get a Brazilian wax on my period? Yes! You can definitely get a Brazilian Wax on your period, just use a tampon or a menstrual cup.

  • Okay, but SHOULD I get a wax on my period? Does it change experience? It does change the experience. Keep in mind, your body is more sensitive during your period, so any kind of waxing might be a little more painful (but still totally manageable).

  • Ideally, when in my cycle should I get a wax? The best time in your cycle to get a wax is whenever works best for you. You should plan waxing around your life, not the other way around, DUH. We are happy to wax you any day of the week, at any time of the month.
